O Coronel Pedro Miguel da Silva Costa nasceu em Sever do Vouga, em 1977, possui uma licenciatura em Ciências Militares Aeronáuticas – Engenharia Eletrotécnica, pela Academia da Força Aérea e é Mestre em Segurança e Defesa pelo Instituto Universitário Militar.
Ao longo dos 30 anos de serviço desempenhou vários cargos, destacando-se as funções de Defense Liason Officer na Agência Espacial Portuguesa, entre 2021 e 2024, em representação do Estado-Maior General das Forças Armadas.
Assumiu as atuais funções no Comando Aéreo da Força Aérea, como Chefe do Centro de Operações Espaciais em setembro de 2024.
Colonel Pedro Miguel da Silva Costa was born in Sever do Vouga in 1977. He has a degree in Aeronautical Military Sciences – Electrotechnical Engineering from the Air Force Academy and a Master’s in Security and Defense from the Military University Institute.
Throughout his 30 years of service, he has held various positions, including Defense Liaison Officer at the Portuguese Space Agency, between 2021 and 2024, representing the Armed Forces General Staff.
He took up his current role at the Air Force Air Command as Head of the Space Operations Center in September 2024.
