A Marta desenvolveu muito cedo um interesse especial pelo funcionamento das coisas e um fascínio pelo Espaço, o que se revelou a combinação ideal ao ingressar no Mestrado de Engenharia Aeroespacial.
Motivada pela procura de um cruzamento entre as pessoas, a tecnologia, o Espaço, a ciência e a sociedade, trabalhou como investigadora e estudou o impacto da mudança tecnológica no setor aeroespacial.
Em 2019 juntou-se à equipa da Agência Espacial Portuguesa, onde se foca nas áreas da Educação e Ciência. Ajudou a implementar projetos como o European Rocketry Challenge (EuRoC) ou o Astronauta por um Dia, e da Ciência Espacial, acompanhando as atividades realizadas pela academia portuguesa, principalmente ligadas às organizações internacionais.
Se não a encontrarem na Agência, é provável que esteja a viajar e a conhecer novos destinos — mesmo que seja pelas páginas de um livro ou pelos aromas e sabores que dão vida à sua cozinha.
Marta developed an early interest in how things work and a fascination for Space, which was the perfect combination when she entered the Aerospace Engineering Master’s program.
Motivated by the intersection of people, technology, Space, science, and society, she worked as a researcher, studying the impact of technological change in the aerospace sector. In 2019, she joined the team at the Portuguese Space Agency, focusing on Education and Science. She helped implement projects like the European Rocketry Challenge (EuRoC), Astronaut for a Day, and Space Science, supporting activities conducted by the Portuguese academia, particularly those linked to international organisations.
