Luís Serina é licenciado em Engenharia Aeroespacial pela Universidade Técnica de Lisboa (IST, 2005). Trabalha no setor espacial há mais de uma década, tanto na indústria como no setor público. Desde 2007 que tem vindo a trabalhar com a ESA e com os Programas Espaciais da Comissão Europeia, como representante português em vários conselhos e comissões. É Delegado Português no Comité de Política Industrial da ESA (IPC) e no Conselho da mesma organização. Atualmente, ocupa o cargo de Responsável pelas Relações Industriais e Projectos na Portugal Space. Até há pouco tempo, andou a aprender a jogar ténis no seu tempo livre. É conhecido como o melhor companheiro de viagem, por transportar consigo uma mala onde existem sempre frutos secos.
Luís Serina holds a degree in aerospace engineering from the Technical University of Lisbon (IST, 2005). He has been working in the Space sector for more than a decade, both in the industry and the public sector. Since 2007, he has been working with the European Space Agency and the European Commission Space programmes as Portuguese representative in several boards and committees. He is a Portuguese delegate to the ESA Industrial Policy Committee (IPC) and Council. Currently, he holds the position of Industrial Policy and Technology Officer in the Portuguese Space Agency.
Until recently, he was learning to play tennis in his non-space free time. Currently, he intends to focus more on improving his cooking abilities. Luís is known as the best travelling companion: he always has a bag of nuts with him!
