O Joan Alabart tem um mestrado em Engenharia Civil pela Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya, Espanha.
Nascido e criado na Catalunha, passou um ano na holandesa TU Delft num programa de intercâmbio. Joan tem mais de cinco anos de experiência em engenharia e gestão de projetos em grandes obras internacionais (ferroviária, rodoviária, marítima), que combina com uma longa paixão pelo Espaço. Este entusiasmo pela última fronteira, juntamente com uma ligação pessoal a Portugal, trouxeram-no para Lisboa, onde trabalha atualmente como Oficial de Relações e Projetos Industriais na Agência Espacial Portuguesa, com foco em aplicações não-espaciais.
Quando não está a falar dos prodígios do Espaço nos traz, é provável que o encontre a andar ao longo do Tejo na sua reluzente bicicleta cor de laranja.
Joan Alabart is a Spanish MSc Civil Engineering from Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya who spent one year at TU Delft in an exchange program.
He has over five years of experience in project engineering and management in large international engineering projects (rail, road, maritime) and a lifelong passion for space. His enthusiasm for the ultimate frontier and his attachment to Portugal have brought him to Lisbon, where he currently oversees innovation, entrepreneurship, and Space Exploration at the Portuguese Space Agency.
When not talking about space’s wonders, you might find him riding a flashy orange bike along the Tejo.
