Daniel Smith is the Founder of strategic space marketing firm AstroAgency and Founding Director of Space Scotland, a collaboration between industry, government and academia with over 70 member companies. He sits on the UK Space Agency’s Space Safety & Sustainability advisory group and Cross Party Group for Space at the Scottish Parliament, as well as the ESA BIC UK Steering Group.
A passionate advocate for an environmentally conscious approach to all space activity on earth and in orbit, Daniel is the co-founder of Space Scotland’s Environmental Task Force and writes a column in a national UK newspaper on space sustainability. Last year AstroAgency created ‘Space Sustainability – A Roadmap for Scotland’. A world first, The Roadmap was launched by Scottish government ministers and showcased at the IAC and Space Tech Bremen, with international collaboration and knowledge sharing now a priority for Daniel and his colleagues.
