Bruno Carvalho

Bruno brings more than 18 years of experience in the Space Industry, working at companies such as Thales Alenia Space, Critical Software and SCICYS UK (acquired by CGI).
Bruno founded Ilex Space, in the UK in 2017, providing strategic business consultancy in the Space market in Europe. Ilex is now with a presence in the UK and Portugal.
After helping establish D-Orbit in the UK, Bruno was the Managing Director of D-Orbit in Portugal between June 2019 and April 2024.
Ilex Space is one of the founding members of the Atlantic Spaceport Consortium, aiming at providing launch services from the Azores, where Bruno assumed the role of CEO.
Bruno is also representing Dragonfly Aerospace, who are starting to develop their activities in Portugal.
