Pedro Arezes is currently the Dean of the School of Engineering at the University of Minho (EEUM). He holds a PhD in Production and Systems Engineering at EEUM and developed post-doctoral work at the Technical University of Delft (Netherlands), at MIT and Harvard University (both in the USA). Pedro Arezes has been Director of the MIT Portugal Program since 2016 and a guest researcher at MIT and Harvard University, having also been a guest professor at several Portuguese and foreign universities. At EEUM, he leads the research group on Ergonomics & Human Factors at the research Center Algoritmi. He coordinated and collaborated on more than 50 R&D projects, holding more than 130 articles in indexed international journals and having been awarded in countries such as the United States, Spain, Brazil and Turkey.
